Two years have not passed since COMMO appeared, and everyone already knows it. Cases, glasses, charging, headphones, cables and even batteries – people clearly like them. Yes, I use it myself, so what can I say.
I periodically check what’s new with this Yandex Market brand. So when I saw that their line of chargers immediately appeared three new device, requested everything in the review.
I tested it every time with a fleet of independent gadgets and share my impressions.
Mini charger COMMO. Better than Apple charging (and smaller)
From left to right: COMMO station charger, key charger and mini charger.
I still don’t understand why Cupertino has been avoiding servicing GaN chargers for so long.
In the yard of 2024, their single units with this product are a rare 70-watt from the 15-inch MacBook Air on the M2 and 140-watt from the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Of course, both are standing near money. Meanwhile, the iPhone and iPad still came with 20- and 30-watt simple units, both obscenely sized by today’s standards.
COMMO, following other brands, flies into this field with Mini charger. This is a 35-watt GaN charger with USB-C port, Power Delivery 3.0 support and provides the fastest charging speeds for absolutely any iPhone.
The size of the block is simply microscopic, slightly larger than a thumb. In terms of power, it passes both calls from Apple with a margin.
Everything is as expected, 35 watts.
To check whether the unit provides an honest 35 watts, I inserted it into a 16-inch MacBook Pro. Not only did it continue to charge on average, but all 35 watts were delivered correctly.
This is enough to power anything, from an iPhone to a large iPad Pro. Except that the top-end MacBooks under a high sofa require much more.
The COMMO mini charger is now on sale for 1490 rubles. There are gray and white colors.
Charger for COMMO keys. 100 Watt I take it with me
I look now and don’t quite understand why he seemed to punish the exercise and put it in a corner. Let’s agree that I thought it was a “cool shot composition.”
Of course, one port in the power adapter is not enough. Watches, headphones, wearables, smartphone, tablet, laptop… you only need to charge once a day, or even more often (hello, keep an iPhone mini). And on a trip, including just around the city, you want to take not several blocks, but one all-purpose one.
Here, COMMO Key Charger – just such a universal multiport power supply that will fit the entire fleet of gadgets at once.
There are 3 USB-C ports and one USB-A. The ports, of course, are not always the same in power: two provide up to 100 watts depending on the load of the others, one 20 watts and the last 18 watts. The nutrition profile breakdown is as follows:
▪ USB-C 1: 5.0V–3.0A, 9.0V–3.0A, 12.0V–3.0A, 15.0V–3.0A, 20.0V –5.0 A
▪ USB-C 2: Same as USB-C 1.
▪ USB-C 3: 5.0V-3.0A, 9.0V-2.22A, 12.0V-1.67A
▪ USB-A: 5.0 V–3.0 A, 9.0 V–2.0 A, 12.0 V–1.5 A
So that the owner does not confuse where to supply the most “demanding” devices, dots are drawn with high intensity opposite the USB-C ports.
The block is not easy, 100 grams is for sure. Each of the top two ports correctly delivers 100 watts if the other ports are slightly free.
If all the device ports are clogged, the controller’s power supply will distribute power between them with priority to the first two ports, and leave the remaining power at a minimum, especially for USB-A. In my opinion, this is the right approach.
I note that the unit does not eat or whistle when it is working. This applies not only to the COMMO key charger, but also to all three units from the new “troika” COMMO. Anyone who has used third-party high-capacity chargers knows that this is a private problem. I’ll say more, even the previous generation of adapters from the company had such reviews. But here, apparently, this issue has been resolved. Or I was lucky and got all three without such a “feature”.
You can buy a Commo key charger on Yandex Market for 4,490 rubles. There is only a gray model.
Communication station charger. 100 Watt charging station
I can already see how I’m molding it under my table with the ports first. Mine doesn’t have USB-C.
It is not always convenient to solve the problem of charging several devices with a plump block sticking out of the outlet. And for a desktop at home or at work, I generally want the ports to be accessible at arm’s length – so that I can quickly connect any device and remove it without lifting my butt.
COMMO station charger how it was done for such cases. Technically this is the same key charger from the subtitle form. It just has a different shape: a rectangular “remote” unit with a removable power cable.
There are also 3 USB-C ports and one USB-A port. Absolutely the same power supply layout and the same features of its distribution. Again, the difference is in the form.
Such a “pancake” can not only be placed on the table, but also attached under it, shoved somewhere closer to the bed and generally fit more organically into the interior. The removable cable is of good length, 1.5 meters, but any similar one will do.
You can pick up the COMMO Station Charger for 4,990 rubles. Either I dreamed this in delirium, or before there was not only a white version, but also a gray version. I can’t find it now.
📺 By the way, here is the unboxing video in our Telegram channel.
PS Why do I recommend COMMO charging when other “China” ones are cheaper
You can argue that they fit well, look shameless, and so on. But for me personally, the advantage of Kommo as a whole is completely different. And this not only applies to the above-mentioned blocks, but in general to their accessories in general.
I recommend COMMO exactly because it is a brand Yandex Market – which means you have a clearly designated place to go for any questions with guarantee. By the way, it lasts 1 honest year. This is not a no-name Chinese, not some multifaceted Baseus/Ugreen/hell-knows-what. If something is wrong, Yandex responds.
Judging by reviews and personal experience, Yandex Market is responsible for COMMO willingly. Exclusively for this purpose, I see the point of “paying extra” 10-20% of supermarkets from the harsh Chinese. Nowadays, the issue of warranty is more acute than before, after all.
