Sources said that the Galaxy A series has acquired most of the shares held for sale. Samsung planned to ship around 270 million smartphones this year, with 50 million units accounting for 18% of the total.

Typically, this figure was around 10%, thus indicating that the tech giant is suffering from low demand for smartphones. From January to February, Samsung produced about 20 million smartphones per month. However, volume dropped to 10 million units in May – the company likely responding to lower demand.

The quarantine in China turned out to be lower than expected due to many factors, such as the Russian authorities sending troops to Ukraine and high raw material prices.
