HeadHunter President Mikhail Zhukov has died, Vedomosti reports citing the company’s press service. He held this position since March 2023. Previously, from 2008 to 2022, Zhukov was CEO of the company.
“The HeadHunter company announces with deep regret the death of Mikhail Zhukov, CEO from 2008 to 2022 and president of the company since March 2023. For HeadHunter and our employees, Mikhail’s departure is an irreparable and untimely loss; We offer our deepest condolences to all family and friends,” the statement said.
Mikhail Zhukov was born on June 10, 1967 in Moscow. In 1990 he graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute and received an engineering diploma in aeronautical radio electronics design. He later worked as an engineer at InterAtomEnergo and also headed the Soft-tronic office in Moscow.
From 1994 to 2003 Zhukov worked at IBS, first as director of the network solutions division and then as deputy general director. Until 2006, he was a senior manager at Helios Computers LLC. In 2007, he worked at Sibur as corporate project manager and project office manager.
Zhukov was also a member of the board of directors of HH and the real estate advertising service Cian.
The HeadHunter press service reported that already in the first years of managing the company, Zhukov brought it to the leaders of the online recruitment market in Russia, and subsequently the company entered the top 3 of job search sites and staff in the world. In 2019, Zhukov took the company to the Nasdaq stock exchange.
Zhukov is also the author of the book “HeadHunter: Success is Inevitable”, which tells the story of the company’s development. The book was published in December 2023.
The cause of death was not specified in the statement.
