Gazprom Media Holding’s vertical video app Yappy has launched its own music label, Yappy Music. This is stated in Yappy’s message.

Gazprom-Media’s Yappy social network has launched its own music label

The label’s work includes recording, production, marketing, public relations and professional online and offline music promotion, licensing, consulting, track distribution, as well as event and concert organization.

In total, three forms of cooperation with the label are offered; the more complete package supposedly “completely eliminates musicians’ organizational problems.”

Yappy itself will act as one of the channels to find artists to collaborate with the label, castings will also be held at other headquarters of the holding company and an “external search” for artists.

The Yappy social network was launched in November 2021 by Ritm Media, which is part of Gazprom Media. The application is available on Android and iOS platforms. Yappy positions itself as a Russian analogue of TikTok.

After companies such as Warner Music, Universal Music and Sony Music left Russia, MTS and VK also launched their own labels.
