The date of February 14 will cost more in Moscow and the Novosibirsk region, residents of the Komi Republic and the Smolensk region will spend less – the difference in cost will be 2.2 times, MTS Bank analysts found out.
The company studied the cost of a date in the “classic” format: a visit to the cinema, a restaurant and flowers.
The average cost of a date in Russia will be 4,590 rubles and during the year it has increased by 7%. At the same time, the average check in the regions differs significantly: the difference between the largest and smallest check is more than double.
An appointment will cost Muscovites the most: an average of 6,330 rubles. The average cost of a romantic evening in the Novosibirsk region will be only 500 rubles cheaper. North Ossetia closes the top three of most expensive dates.
Top 10 regions with the highest average bill per date (cinema, restaurant and flowers):
- Moscow: average bill of 6,330 rubles;
- Novosibirsk region: 5840 rubles;
- Republic of North Ossetia – Alania – 5500 rubles;
- Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug: 5,490 rubles;
- Leningrad Region: 5360 rubles;
- Moscow region: 5130 rubles;
- Chukotka Autonomous Okrug – 5120 rubles;
- Kabardino-Balkarian Republic – 4970 rubles;
- St. Petersburg – 4870 rubles;
- Sakhalin region: 4820 rubles.
It should be noted that almost half of the regions (Moscow, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and Sakhalin Region) with the highest average check by date, according to Rosstat, are also among the top 10 regions with the highest salaries.
The cheapest date will cost in the Komi Republic: 2920 rubles. It will cost a little more in the Smolensk and Vologda regions – 3150 rubles and 3220 rubles, respectively.
According to MTS Bank analysts, the increase in the average cost of a date was most strongly influenced by the cost of flowers; during the year it increased on average by 18%, while the average price of a visit to a restaurant and tickets to the cinema remained at the level of 2023.
For the study, an analysis of anonymized data on bank cards of MTS Bank clients in all regions of the Russian Federation was carried out. Payment transactions from February 2023 and 2024 were taken into account.
