The Ministry of Transport proposed to fine airlines for publishing incorrect information about ticket reservations in the AIS OVP. The bill is scheduled to be presented to the State Duma during the autumn session, Izvestia reports.
The department reported that verification of the requirements will be carried out within the framework of state control in the field of civil aviation. The Ministry of Transport also highlighted that due to erroneous data on flight schedules and incorrect ticketing, passengers are not boarding their flights.
According to the interlocutor of the publication, every year the central office of Rostransnadzor receives about 700 different complaints from passengers about airlines. Claims are usually related to flight delays and cancellations, violations of the conditions of carriage of hand luggage and lack of return of funds in case of illness of a passenger or family member.
