Russian AI startup MAIA, whose technologies allow companies to “replace” front-line sales, HR consultants, support services, assistants and lawyers using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, has raised 50 million rubles from private investors and various unions.
The deal was closed in February 2024. The total project is estimated at 500 million rubles. The names of the investors and syndicates are not revealed.
A representative of the project told RB.RU that the funds will be used to refine and develop a boxed language model of the SaaS platform, with the help of which a company will be able to configure its multi-agent system (MAS) and integrate it. in sales, support departments and use it to solve other problems where AI assistance is required.
The startup will also continue to develop in the UK market, where the company entered at the end of 2023. Plans for 2024 include launching in the Latin American market and in several other developing countries.
“At the end of February we will launch the first version of our platform. Any company will be able to launch its own AI agent for sales or support on several messengers and social networks at once,” said MAIA founder Oleg Lupikov.
In November 2023, MAIA closed a pre-seed round for 12 million rubles at a valuation of 240 million rubles. The funds were contributed by investors from the IT sector.

- The legal entity MAIA – LLC “NII” – was founded in 2016. According to the Kontur.Focus system, it previously appeared under the name Your Pension Solution LLC, its sole owner was Islam Akhmedshin. As of October 2023, 70% of NII LLC belongs to Lupikov, 25% to Akhmedshin, and 5% to Timur Khakimov.
- Lupikov, through his representative, told RB.RU that Timur Khakimov and Islam Akhmedshin are now partners in the MAIA project.
