The Cocoa Press company began selling a 3D printer in the United States for $1,499 (140 thousand rubles) that prints chocolate.

The printer is shown disassembled, so it must first be assembled. The process may take some time, but it is easy.

Interestingly, the plastic parts required for assembly are not included with the printer. The manufacturer offers to buy them separately for $199 (18.5 thousand rubles) or print them yourself on a 3D printer.

Chocolate cartridge

Chocolate cartridges were used as printing material. This is real chocolate that is heated inside the printer before printing. A set of 10 cartridges costs $49 (4.5 thousand rubles). Available in white, milk and dark chocolate.

Cocoa Press can print anything from chocolate that can be printed on a regular 3D printer. First of all, the device is designed for confectioners and bakers who want to automate part of their work.

At the moment, the company has released a limited batch of 3D printers, and it is still not sold out. [Tom’s Hardware]
