The court detained the former co-owner of Azbuka Vkusa, Kirill Yakubovsky. The businessman accused of fraud had previously been sentenced to house arrest, but the court decided to change the precautionary measure.
The former co-owner of Azbuka Vkusa and Coffee House, Kirill Yakubovsky, was detained in the courtroom. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.
“[…] The preventive measure in the form of house arrest was changed to a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period until March 15, 2024,” they said in the press service.
Yakubovsky is charged, under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, with large-scale fraud. Details of the case are not disclosed.
The businessman was detained in April 2023. Previously, Yakubovsky was in a pre-trial detention center accused of fraud, then the preventive measure was softened to house arrest.
