However, making and receiving calls will no longer be a premium feature.
X integrates voice and video calls directly into your private messaging system. Calls use the device’s built-in CallKit (iOS) API and display incoming calls on the lock screen like regular phone calls, making them feel familiar.
The initial announcement of this feature caused some controversy, with users expressing concern about receiving calls from unwanted people. To alleviate these concerns, X offers granular control over call access. Users can choose who can call them through the app.
