The Mobile World Congress starts today in Barcelona with a closed-door networking session, and from February 26 the entire exhibition-congress will open. The main market players will present their latest technologies: The Verge authors highlighted the most interesting announcements from Xiaomi, Honor, Samsung, etc.
At MWC, AI startup Brain.ai, in partnership with Deutsche Telekom, plans to demonstrate a conceptual model of an “app-less phone” that “generates an interface contextually, based on your thoughts.”
Xiaomi will present the exclusive Xiaomi 14 Ultra for the first time outside of China. Honor is preparing to announce the pricing of its new Porsche-themed Magic V2 foldable model.
HMD, which until now has produced phones exclusively under the Nokia brand, announced last year that it plans to launch devices under its own name for the first time. And experts wonder if the model will be presented at the MWC (there have been no official announcements on this yet).
Three years after launching its first smartwatch, OnePlus will launch the OnePlus Watch 2 with a promised battery life of 100 hours. Analysts also believe that we can expect demonstrations of several more experimental concept devices, for example a transparent laptop from Lenovo or a flexible smartphone from Motorola.
Samsung also intends to share news: the website promises that it will be at MWC that the “smart” Galaxy Ring will be shown to the world: “a device with a new form factor that simplifies daily health monitoring and allows you to maintain a smarter mood and healthier lifestyle.”
