Also, thanks to this technology, the Always-on Display function appears in the iPhone 17 and 17 Plus, which has always been assigned to the Pro models. In Always-on Display mode, the screen reduces the frequency to 1 Hz, so it does not work without the ProMotion function.
It is likely that the displays on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus remained unchanged so that Apple could show more innovations on the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus.
