VKontakte launched a beta version of a new community moderation system

The social network VKontakte has launched a new community moderation system. It works in beta mode, reports the VKontakte press service.

The main innovation was the introduction of a system of so-called strikes – fines for violating the rules of the social network. The system consists of several levels in which restrictions are imposed on communities to publish content, up to its complete blocking.

Community administrators will see the notices received in their personal account and can appeal them. Fines will be removed one year from the date of receipt of the first, VKontakte clarified.

During the beta test, the system will work in limited mode.

“After the system leaves the beta version, all strikes received during the test mode will be deleted from the communities,” said the press service of the social network.

VKontakte announced the launch of a strike system in January. This approach, as VKontakte hopes, will avoid harsh measures, such as outright blocking, being applied to communities that receive a one-time warning.
