Spending by Russians on VR headsets has increased 12 times since the beginning of the year compared to the same period in 2023. This is stated in the Megamarket manual.

In 2024, demand for VR devices increased by 320%. The average bill increased by 30% and amounted to 29,878 rubles, which indicates that users have become interested in more expensive models.

A few research facts:

► Most buyers of reality helmets are young people aged 28 to 42 years.

► VR headsets are popular among men’s headphones – they accounted for 71% of buyers

► The most modern devices were Oculus Quest 2 and 3 (≈ 45,000 rubles), PS VR2 (≈ 80,000 rubles) and Pico 4 (≈ 60,000 rubles)

We can assume that such a rapid growth in interest in VR glasses and helmets is largely due to the release of new products from Apple to the market. Their advertising campaign creates interest in technology in the environment. People are discovering new possibilities and seeking extraordinary technological experiences.
