According to the CIRP document, Android users who switch to iOS are mostly male and earn less than those who buy iPhone directly. And these people buy old or refurbished and therefore cheap iPhone models to save money. However, the number of people purchasing the Pro and Pro Max versions of the latest models, especially the iPhone 14 series, is also increasing.
As stated in the report, 29% of Android users who switched to iPhone as of December 2023 purchased the iPhone SE 3, iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and 13 mini models. Meanwhile, 51% of Android users purchased iPhone 14. CIRP also found that 37% of older Android users purchased the iPhone 14 or 15 Pro version, while the number of iPhone users who upgraded to one of these models was 43%.
