Segway has started selling a lawn mower that cuts grass on its own without human intervention.
Using GPS, cameras and artificial intelligence, the lawn mower detects boundaries so that grass does not appear on sidewalks, ponds, soil and other surfaces.
If necessary, the user can change the area map in the application, add restricted areas and other vegetation, he must drive around the lawn mower. The principle is the same as that of robotic vacuum cleaners.
The device can operate in any conditions. For this purpose, protection against water and dust is provided according to the IP66 standard.
The lawn mower is available in two versions: i105N and i110N. They only matter to batteries. The i105N has a 2550 mAh battery (enough for ~5 acres), and the i110N has a 5100 mAh battery (enough for ~10 acres).
Segway i105N costs $999 (~91.5 thousand rubles) in the USA, the i110N version will cost $1299 (~119 thousand rubles). [New Atlas]
