As explained in the press service, under its brand the company will sell not only food, but also other products for pets. The dry food is now available in packages of 3 to 10 kg for adult dogs and puppies. Soon the assortment will include items for kittens and adult cats (including sterilized ones).
Among the most popular brands on the market, Lapsville products are comparable in price to Royal Canin brand products. Thus, a 3-kilogram package of Lapsville for small breed dogs will cost 1,590 rubles on the market. Royal Canin food for small dogs with similar characteristics in a 4 kg package costs 2289 rubles on the same site.
Lapsville products are manufactured in Russia and the recipe was developed jointly with an independent consultant, a veterinary nutritionist, the company says.
According to Evgenia Spokoinova, director of the Lapsville project, during the development of the product, the team held a tasting with the participation of 400 dogs and cats.
- The launch of Lapsville is part of the market’s strategy to develop its own brands, which the company began to implement back in 2021.
- At the same time, non-perishable goods with the brand name “By the way on the Market” appeared on sale. And in 2022, the market submitted an application to Rospatent to register the Lapsville trademark.
Previously, Nestlé warned its partners about increasing retail prices for pet food. In particular, the company decided to increase the cost of products from the Purina One, Darling, Gourmet and Pro Plan brands.
