On March 5, American computer game developer and publisher Valve updated its digital video game distribution service Steam. The innovations are available to all users in the full and mobile versions of the digital store and on the Steam Deck portable PC.

- Gifts can be combined into a single order, multiple gifts at a time;
- Shopping cart synchronized on all devices;
- Profile Privacy: You can now hide games in your library from friends and other users.
- The ability to make games private before purchasing them; All addons in private games are automatically hidden.
In October 2023, Valve introduced the updated SteamVR 2.0 service within the Steam distribution platform. It is a universal tool to use virtual reality with any equipment. Valve has been developing a new version of the app since 2019.
The developers added voice chat support to SteamVR 2.0 and made it easier to access notifications from the platform itself. And the improved Steam store now prioritizes virtual reality games, with these products appearing first in the catalog.
