According to the study, half of Russian businessmen want to take their businesses to foreign markets. The most popular market among respondents to travel abroad was Asia, and the directions were trade, service provision and information technology.

49% of Russian entrepreneurs want to enter foreign markets and one in five entrepreneurs plans to open a business abroad this year. This is clear from the results of a study based on a survey of one thousand entrepreneurs carried out by the analytical center of the World Opportunities Forum – Dubai.
According to respondents, the most popular foreign markets are Asia (25%), CIS (22%) and the Middle East and North Africa (20%). 26% of study participants are considering entering the European Union and United States markets.
Study participants see the attraction of partners (18%) and investments (14%) as a result of moving their businesses abroad. One in three respondents considers their new country of work as a center for exploring other countries in the region.
33% of respondents are satisfied with the results of their work in Russia and plan to expand their business within the country. Respondents believe that the main reason for difficulties in expanding abroad is the lack of qualified personnel and reliable partners.
