MediaTek’s biggest buyer was Samsung, which accounted for 22% of the chips shipped. Xiaomi ranks second in purchases (20%), while Vivo ranks third.

Interestingly, Samsung produces Exynos processors itself, but still buys a lot of chips from MediaTek.

This may be because MediaTek offers more affordable solutions, but it may also be because Exynos cannot always keep up with its competitors in terms of performance.

It is worth noting that in general the mobile processor market is now quite competitive. MediaTek managed to become a leader due to the fact that the company offers a wide range of chips at different prices.
