The fourth quarter of 2023 saw the highest volume of cash withdrawals: Russians withdrew 9.2 trillion rubles. In general, the volume of transactions with individual cards in Russia reached 167 trillion rubles in 2023, an increase of 12% compared to the previous year. Interestingly, the growth in card-to-card transfers has slowed down significantly.
The study also showed that in 2023, Russians spent 54.4 trillion rubles on goods and services using their cards, which is 16% more than last year. At the same time, the transaction volume of legal entities decreased by 15.7% to 4.7 trillion rubles.
