Shared fitness service Gogym (owned by MTS) has agreed to merge with a similar project Gymmy. Once the process is completed, the Gymmy brand will leave the market.

Gogym’s user base is expected to increase by more than 40%, allowing the service to capture more than half of the market. Other details of the transaction are not disclosed, writes Kommersant.

Gogym was launched in 2021. The platform works with a thousand sports clubs and studios, 250 thousand users are registered in the application.

Gymmy has been operating since 2019. More than 160 thousand users are registered on the platform. 42.4% of Jimmy LLC belongs to David Kazaryan, Timur Nurbagandov – 16.9%, Alexander Murzanaev – 12.8%, Semyon Boyarsky – 2.5%. The company’s revenue in 2022 amounted to 5.65 million rubles.
