According to the report, BTC cannot be compared to gold, no matter how much its supporters claim otherwise. The reason for this is simple and obvious for the market: volatility. The constant volatility of the Bitcoin price is the main obstacle and why it is wrong to compare “digital gold” with real gold.
Volatility plays a role in spot Bitcoin ETFs’ inability to raise funds comparable in volume to gold-based investment products in the near future.
The report states that for Bitcoin to be comparable to gold, its capitalization must reach $3.3 billion, which is currently the same as gold. But investors are still aware of the significant growth in ETFs and predict that in about three years the amount of capital under management of these exchange-traded funds could rise to $62 billion.
