This is a different level of color rendering, contrast and tone of white and black. And if Samsung had previously talked about the advantages of QD-OLED panels everywhere, now the pain has subsided and the company will only show that the TV is equipped with an OLED panel.
Such inscriptions will appear on the packaging of Samsung TVs of the entry-level S85D, S90D and flagship S95D models. At the same time, during the advertising campaign of the new models, it was already clear that the S90D will include WOLED options, as Samsung stated that these TVs will come in sizes of 42″, 48″, 55″, 65, 77″ and 83″ diagonals. But QD-OLED doesn’t come in 42, 48 or 83 inches.
It’s unclear what prompted Samsung to write, without elaborating, simply stating that the buyer was “only” purchasing an OLED TV. There is no clear explanation on this matter.
