Microsoft has finally allowed this cloud storage to be removed from Windows 10 and 11. The process is quite simple:
Disable OneDrive
For those who want to disable OneDrive, there is an easy way: remove syncing. Go to Settings > Accounts > OneDrive and turn off file syncing.
Uninstall OneDrive
If you want to completely remove OneDrive:
- Press Win + R to open the Run window.
- Type appwiz.cpl and press Enter.
- Find Microsoft OneDrive in the list of programs.
- Select OneDrive and click Uninstall.
- Confirm the deletion if necessary.
Important: Previously it was not possible to remove OneDrive from Windows. This feature may be due to new EU regulations that require Microsoft to offer users more options.
