Schubart’s Alternative Livestock Farm became the center of this operation. It all went like this.

In 2013, an accomplice purchased tissue samples from the world’s largest Pamir mountain sheep in Kyrgyzstan. Importing such materials is illegal under international agreements and U.S. law.

These smuggled fragments were used to create 165 cloned embryos, resulting in a purebred sheep of the breed called the Montana Mountain King (MMK).

MMK’s sperm was used to artificially inseminate sheep, leading to the birth of giant hybrid sheep.

Schubart not only used these animals for private hunting purposes, he also sold their sperm and even planned to sell their offspring for up to $10,000.

He now faces up to 5 years in prison and a huge fine.
