Who voted for the bill while maintaining a TikTok account that posted a new video last week?

  • Jeff Jackson, Democrat from North Carolina

  • Colin Allred, Texas Democrat

  • Sean Kasten, Democrat from Illinois

One prominent among them is Jackson, who released a new video just a day before the vote, explaining that he believes ByteDance will sell the company, allowing TikTok to continue operating.

While all of the above-mentioned representatives are Democrats, the Gizmodo editor says this could be the party’s attempt to connect with young people, TikTok’s main user base.
