According to Zackbuks’ leak on Weibo, Sony Xperia 1 VI will become more “casual”; Instead of 21:9 we will have a more familiar 19.5:9 format.
On the one hand, this may disappoint those who like a long and narrow canvas, ideal for watching movies. On the other hand, such a move could make the Xperia 1 VI more attractive to mass buyers.
Apart from changing the aspect ratio, the Xperia 1 VI may lose its 4K resolution in favor of 2K. Otherwise, the design of the smartphone is expected to remain similar to its predecessor.
Other interesting details:
- All three cameras on the back of the Xperia 1 VI will have 48-megapixel Exmor T sensors.
- Sony may be the first company to implement digital photo signature technology directly into the camera.
- Xperia 1 VI will be available with 12 GB and 16 GB RAM options.
