YouTube has introduced the requirement for creators to tag content created using neural networks. The company talked about it on its blog.
The requirement applies to videos that, due to their realism, can mislead viewers, for example, those created with deepfakes. You will also have to label videos of natural disasters, content about world conflicts, crises and elections.
An inscription will appear below the videos indicating that they are “synthetic content.” It will be displayed in the video player interface or in the extended description of the video.
YouTube explained the introduction of labeling as an effort to combat false information.
