The Russian government has lifted the moratorium on antitrust inspections of IT companies. The resolution signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was published on the legal acts portal.
The document states that state control over compliance with the antimonopoly legislation of the Russian Federation is allowed in relation to accredited Russian IT companies. The exception is scheduled inspections of organizations.
“The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia receives a large number of complaints from participants in the information technology market, including small and medium-sized businesses and consumers, about violations by dominant companies, the inspections of which are limited due to the imposed moratorium” , reported the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
The government decree will come into force on March 28.
