Game Center Now you can run games on your mobile phone without having to install them. The “Instant Play” tool, introduced during the Game Developers Conference (GDC), places Samsung in the game streaming market with mobile games streaming on the Galaxy Store.
Currently in Beta, Instant Plays aims to increase the discovery potential of games distributed through the Galaxy Store by eliminating the need for downloads. In this way, users they can try the game faster, thus saving download times and making decisions faster.
“Our vision for Gaming Hub for mobile is to provide game owners with a complete, optimized gaming platform. [celulares] Galaxy makes it much easier to play and explore without having to wait for downloads,” said Jikhan Jung, Samsung’s corporate vice president.
Like natively downloaded apps, Gaming Hub has the same developer statistics and tracks and supports the main in-app monetization mechanisms. This feature is intended to make the tool more attractive to programmers, as well as facilitate commitment to the source.
Content transfer is carried out through Galaxy Store servers, utilizing the existing infrastructure of the platform. This strategy also eliminates the need to download new apps and services as the store and Gaming Hub are installed by default on all Galaxy mobiles with One UI.
Limited accessibility
Currently, Gaming Hub Instant Plays is available to a small group of users who reside in the United States and Canada. In the announcement, the company did not mention any plans to expand the service to other regions.
