Within the scope of the project, Samsung attached four Galaxy S24 Ultras to hydrogen-filled balloons by connecting them to specially designed carbon fiber brackets. These balloons were launched from various points in the western United States and rose to altitudes of up to 36 km, much higher than commercial airliners, but did not fully ascend into space.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s cameras were up to the task, capturing the beauty of the world. The photographs showcase diverse landscapes, vibrant colors and intricate details. Gizchina notes that the phone’s various lenses, from wide-angle shots to optical zoom images, capture “the curves of the planet, the vastness of space, and the interplay of light and shadow.”
