Well-known analyst Jeff Pu shared details about the iPhone 16 Pro.
According to him, the A18 Pro chip will receive an enlarged matrix for working with AI, but will retain a 6-core graphics processor. The smartphone is also preparing an improved Neural Engine for generative AI functions.
Apple has been using the 16-core Neural Engine since the iPhone 12. Its performance increases every year, even when the number of cores remains the same. For example, Apple says the A17 Pro chip has 2x faster Neural Engine compared to the A16 Bionic chip in the iPhone 14 Pro.
The iPhone 16 is expected to be unveiled this fall. I hope the announcement will take place in September.
