Xiaomi SU7’s goal is to be the best-looking, best-handling and smartest sedan in this price range.
New product orders will begin to be accepted as of March 28. The electric car will be sold and offered for test drives in 29 cities in China.
Let us also remind you that SU7 will be introduced at the end of 2023. Previously, Xiaomi had not announced its price and analysts predicted that the price would be in the range of $ 30,700 – $ 36,200.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said the SU7 should compete with the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan Turbo, which cost $97,500 and $125,000 respectively in China.
Two versions of the SU7 will be available: SU7 and SU7 Max.
The base rear-wheel-drive SU7 model features Xiaomi’s own V6 engine with a maximum power of 220 kW and a torque of 400 Nm.
The vehicle can accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.28 seconds. SU7 is equipped with a CATL Qilin battery with a capacity of 73.6 kWh, providing a range of 668 km.
The all-wheel drive version – SU7 Max – is equipped with CATL’s 101 kWh Qilin battery, providing a maximum range of 800 km. The four-wheel drive vehicle has a power of 475 kW, allowing the Xiaomi SU7 to reach 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds and a maximum speed of 265 km/h.
