The duration of use of Russian carsharing applications in 2023 increased by 43%*, Yota analysts report. The leader was the BelkaCar service, which showed threefold growth over the year.

The largest number of such applications are used by users over 46 years of age. Some statistics:

On 28% The average duration of their use has increased. The most noticeable increase in average usage time was in BelkaCar applications (+350%), Delimobil (+307%) and Yandex Drive (+156%)

The audience of car rental services grew by 14%. Yandex Drive demonstrated the most active growth in the number of users in 2023 (+56%); Next comes RentRide, which works using peer-to-peer models (+47%), as well as BelkaCar (+40%)


Statistics on the use of carsharing in Russia

People aged 26 to 35 years old accounted for 48% car sharing users, but in 2023 the adult audience showed significant growth – there were more users 46+ years old 22%

The youngest audience was on the MaturCar service (23% their users are under 26 years old), the oldest is Yandex Drive (22% subscribers over 46 years old)

Most often, car sharing users are men (72%)

In 2023, car sharing applications were used the longest by subscribers from Sochi, Salekhard, Ulan-Ude and Cheboksary, Yota notes. The most gigabytes were spent by users from Cheboksary, Elista, Smolensk, Tambova and Saransk.
