Twitch against live nudity
Twitch’s fight against broadcasts that abuse nudity has been ongoing for years. The dispute intensified further in December 2023, when the service changed the rules and allowed nipple and erotic dance images in live broadcasts.
However, after the great turmoil in society The platform reversed the decision and again restricting lives with overtly sexualized content. In January, Twitch banned covered nudity if the creator used black strips or other devices to cover private parts.
The new rule, announced this Wednesday (27), is another of the platform’s attempts to block such content, but it probably won’t be enough to stop the practice.
Currently, the Community Guidelines provide a very firm set of rules regarding nudity, including clothing (especially cleavage) and graphic descriptions of sexual acts.
