Professor Maria Kovalevskaya from VSMU noted that glaucoma requires precise delivery of drops to the central region of the cornea, and the new glasses solve this problem. Innovations like this are especially important for people with one-way vision who may not be able to apply eye drops correctly, he said.
Mass production of the new glasses is planned to start in 2024. This is a significant advance in medical science and will help improve the quality of life of many glaucoma patients.
