This was stated by World of Tanks product director Andrei Lysak.
According to him, the company fully supports the idea of creating a Russian console and plans to release its hit games on the new platform. Lesta welcomes any initiative towards the development of the domestic gaming industry and tries to “look forward”.
However, Lysak himself admits that game console development is not an easy and long-term task that requires huge resources. Experts warn that it may take 3 to 5 years to create a console at the level of imported analogues.
Nevertheless, Lesta believes in the future of Russian gaming projects, citing the success of the Mir payment system as an example. Few people believed in this at first, but now its feasibility has been proven.
