VTB will suspend the issuance of TI mortgages due to exhaustion of limits for this program. The bank will stop issuing from April 3, writes TASS with reference to data from the Sdelka.rf platform.

As follows from the message on the platform, the allocated limit has been exhausted and now VTB is waiting for a decision from the authorities on the further development of IT mortgages and at the same time increasing financing for the program.
The bank itself noted that this program has proven effective as specific support for employees in the information technology sector.
- VTB became the leader in the issuance of preferential mortgages in March 2024, overtaking Sberbank in this direction. At the same time, the bank has repeatedly indicated that the issuance of preferential mortgages due to the reduction in state subsidies is actually no longer profitable.
- Together with other banks, VTB began charging a commission to developers and, in return, offering mortgage loans to these developers. However, the new practice of credit institutions was criticized by the Central Bank and the FAS began an inspection.
- At the end of February, VTB announced that it had waived commission to developers under preferential mortgages. At the same time, the bank stressed that the issuance of this type of mortgages remains unprofitable.
