Qiwi Wallet users will be able to return money online on the service’s website. Previously, this required sending an application through the Russian Post or visiting the company’s own office. TASS was the first to draw attention to this.

To obtain a refund, you must fill out a form and attach a photo of your Russian passport to it. The user must provide complete passport data, SNILS, TIN, account data for transfer, postal address.
The request for a return, according to the data when filling out the questionnaire, is considered within 30 business days from the date of its receipt.
- On February 21, the Bank of Russia revoked Qiwi Bank’s banking license. After this, Qiwi wallet replenishment turned out to be unavailable and the payment system also blocked the withdrawal of funds. Customers of other banks cooperating with Qiwi also had problems. The Central Bank, as well as the DIA, later stated that Qiwi Bank, according to preliminary estimates, has sufficient funds to return money from electronic wallets.
- The DIA identified about 9.3 million wallets in Qiwi Bank with a total amount of funds of 4.4 billion rubles.
- It was also previously reported that Tochka Bank would purchase its clients’ funds remaining in Qiwi Bank for 8 billion rubles. The bank plans to make the first payments on March 5.
