OpenAI plans to open an office in Tokyo this month. The Tokyo office will become the tech company’s third international office, along with London and Dublin, Bloomberg writes.

The artificial intelligence company OpenAI intends to open an office in Tokyo to expand the offer of its services in the Japanese market and not lose competition to Japanese technology companies such as SoftBank and Nippon Telegraph & Telephone.

OpenAI’s plans to open a representative office in Japan were first known in April 2023, the company’s founder Sam Altman spoke about.

It was previously known that Microsoft and OpenAI intend to launch in the next six years the Stargate data center project, which will be built on the basis of a $100 billion supercomputer to support OpenAI’s AI.
