The plasma accelerator is the key element of a new type of engine that will produce a thrust of at least 6 N and a specific impulse of at least 100 km/h.

This will make it possible to conduct interplanetary flights and establish a regular exchange of cargo between the Earth and the Moon.

The average power of such a motor in pulse periodic mode can reach 300 kW.

“The creation of a plasma rocket engine with a power of several hundred kilowatts in the future will allow our country to achieve technological leadership in this field and reach a new level in space exploration,” says the press service of the state company.
