This armored vehicle, developed by Remdizel, has increased mine protection and is designed to carry motorized rifles and cargo.

In the Indian market, the Typhoon-K could compete with local models such as Mahindra’s ASLV and TATA’s LAMV, which have bid for 800 units of the equipment for the Indian Army.

The competition takes into account high mobility, modern protection and significant payload capacity, and the Typhoon-K meets these requirements.

Earlier, the Indian Army had purchased ALSV light armoured vehicles from Mahindra Defence Systems (1,300 units) and Kalyani M4 4×4 to operate in hard-to-reach areas.

The Typhoon-K can be equipped with a remote-controlled battle station with a variety of weapons, including machine guns and automatic grenade launchers.

The vehicle’s armor provides protection against 14.5 mm armor-piercing rounds and can withstand explosions of up to 10 kg of TNT equivalent under the wheels and 8 kg under the bottom.

Recently, the Typhoon-K received cage armor to increase protection against rocket-propelled grenades.
