In a short video, the company shows how the screen of the new device does not shine even under bright sun.
The secret lies in the special structure of Corning Armor glass, which Samsung positions as the most scratch-resistant and optically advanced Gorilla Glass material.
Incredible anti-reflective properties were achieved thanks to nanotechnology and multilayer application of materials. Corning bonded the glass layers using homogeneous plasma in an argon chamber.
One of the glass layers acts as a one-way dispersion filter: it absorbs external light and scatters it inside the multilayer structure.
According to Samsung and Corning, this unique material reduces glare by up to 75% and is three times stronger than regular safety glass.
Currently, the technology is only available for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but Corning plans to supply similar materials to other manufacturers.
