The company introduced Imagen 2, a series of models powered by Vertex AI that can create short videos based on text descriptions.

Imagen 2 has advanced features including image editing and enhancement.

The most significant update is the text-to-live images feature, which allows users to create videos from text queries.

It’s worth noting that videos created by Imagen 2 are still short four-second “live images”. Detailed customization capabilities and video resolution may be lower than current tools.

Google is introducing SynthID technology to add cryptographic watermarks to videos, reducing the risk of deepfakes.

But questions remain about the data sources used to train AI and the potential for copyright infringement.
