The founder and CEO of the PayQR payment service, Gleb Markov, bought the company from shareholders, including the Cypriot organization PayQR International Ltd. This was reported to RB.RU by the company’s press service.
PayQR offers payments using QR codes – this is a free banking application for mobile devices to which you can “link” payment cards from different payment systems.
“Now PayQR has completely returned to its “home port”, where its history began, which will allow us to focus on the domestic market without negative external factors caused by the political situation in the world,” Markov noted.
The PayQR service was launched in 2013. In 2014, the company raised $1.5 million from two private entrepreneurs. In 2016, PayQR closed a round of 300 million rubles with investments from the president and co-owner of the Inkom development company, Sergei Kozlovsky.
PayQR is managed by Fit LLC, registered in Moscow.
