Kicksharing Whoosh has introduced the wKey feature, which allows you to start the scooter without opening the app. The press service of the service spoke about the development. The feature will be available on all the company’s devices in April.

Thanks to the new option, you can rent a scooter and start your trip with a single touch, without having to scan a QR code. To activate the device, it is only necessary to hold both brakes. Departure is now done in 2 seconds, they say in Whoosh. In this case, you can disable the option in the application menu and use the usual startup method.
At this stage, you’ll still have to press the end button in the app to complete your ride, but the company plans to extend wKey’s functionality to end and pause modes as well.
wKey will be available to Whoosh loyalty program customers at Go and Win levels (20+ rides in the last calendar month).
Previously, Whoosh began using artificial intelligence-based technology in St. Petersburg, which detects if the user is not driving a scooter alone. Starting April 12, the feature started working on all of the company’s scooters in Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.
