Roskomnadzor began blocking foreign hosting services in Russia. The list already includes 8 of the 12 available services: Kamatera, WPEngine and HostGator.com, Network Solutions, DreamHost, Bluehost, Ionos and DigitalOcean.
The department also imposed restrictions on Amazon Web Services Inc., GoDaddy.com LLC, Hetzner Online GmbH and FastComet. Reason: non-compliance with the “landing” law, according to which foreign companies are required to open their representative offices or offices in Russia.
