Kick-sharing service Yurent, part of MTS, introduced its own scooter, designed with Russian road infrastructure in mind. This is stated in a message from MTS.

The model was called “Yurent 2.0”. In 2024, 20 thousand scooters of the new model will appear in the fleet of shared scooters in various cities. Now they are already in operation in Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod.

The scooter was developed in collaboration with Eleven. In Russia, a large-scale assembly is carried out. In the coming years, the partners plan to completely localize their production.

Features of “Yurent 2.0”

It should be noted that due to the unique geometry (height and angle of the steering column, steering wheel and platform parameters), the new model has better stability and is more comfortable to control at any speed.

During the development of the scooter, special attention was paid to the chassis for a more comfortable ride around the city in any condition of the road infrastructure. The design of the suspension fork, high ground clearance and (inflatable) tires allow you to move freely around the city with high curbs, differences between sidewalks, cobblestones and any other uneven surfaces.

The tires reduce vibration by half when driving on uneven surfaces and also provide better grip on the road surface during temperature changes and rainy weather.

The scooter is equipped with illuminated status indicators not only on the front stand, but also on the rear fender: they allow the status to be determined from afar and make it visible in the dark.

The scooter “interacts” with the user through an interactive screen. There are also audio notifications that mirror information from the screen and warn of speed limit zones and other information.

The device will also have a seamless startup via NFC – the app will open when you bring the smartphone closer to the device.

The scooter is also equipped with wireless charging with a more secure holder for a smartphone.

Yandex Go, Whoosh, Yurent announced the opening of the new season in Moscow on March 26. The services have expanded the fleet of devices and updated the rules for their use.
