Roskomnadzor began blocking the websites of foreign companies that did not meet the requirements of the Russian “landing” law. The blockades began at the end of March, writes RBC.

According to the department’s website, restrictions apply to the Internet resources of seven companies. At the moment, only the sites of two of them are not accessible. Previously, measures in the form of restrictions in search results were applied to the websites of foreign companies that did not land in Russia.

The Russian “landing” law came into force on January 1, 2022. It covers companies whose website audience in Russia exceeds 500 thousand people per day. The law obliges such companies to open an office in Russia, create a form for receiving user feedback on their website and register a personal account on the Roskomnadzor website.

The list of companies that meet the requirements of the law is periodically expanded; In October 2023, the Aviasales ticket search aggregator was added.
